The second-generation clone of the Hamlin series was trained as a Lieutenant and assigned to the Heavy Cruiser T.S.S. Calcitriol which was sent on an extended mission on the edge of Pleiadean space.  Attrition levels aboard the ship were exceptionally high.  After two years he was promoted to Captain and two years later he was promoted to Major.

Hamlin is thought to have been responsible for the destruction of the T.S.S. Calcitrol after falling under the influence of the Pleiadeans.
